Sidney holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Business Economics and Latin American Studies from the University of Cologne in Germany. He has previously been employed with the German Development Aid Agency GIZ and has lived in Spain, Mexico and Argentina. He’s fluent in German, English and Spanish.
After relocating to Australia in 2022, he obtained a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from UNSW Sydney and worked simultaneously in the Passport and Visa Department at the German General Consulate in Sydney. Utilising this experience, he determines German Citizenship Eligibility at Polaron.
Fun fact: Although his father was born in Sydney, his name (according to his mother) was inspired by the Bahamian actor Sidney Poitier.
