Slovak Living Abroad: Start Your Life in Europe
February 22 @ 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Missed out on watching the webinar live? You can still watch it here.
Do you have Slovak ancestry but aren’t eligible for citizenship through descent? Then the Slovak Living Abroad certificate might be the option for you. The Slovak Living Abroad (SLA) certificate allows people with Slovak heritage (as far back as you can prove) to live, work or study in Slovakia for up to 5 years. The SLA certificate can also speed up the citizenship process for you so you can still get that EU passport.
The main eligibility requirements for the SLA certificate are Slovak ancestry (even great-great-grandparents), an understanding of Slovak culture and basic understanding of the language (even at an A1 level). You can also apply for naturalization after 3 years of living in Slovakia on the SLA certificate.
