Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge

Overview

The Premiers’ Reading Challenge is a key Victorian Government initiative to support children and young people’s reading skills and highlight the importance of reading for literacy development. The Challenge is open to students from birth to Year 10.

The Challenge encourages children and students to read a set number of books over the year and record their efforts online. Since the Challenge first began in 2005, more than 4.3 million students have read over 60 million books.

The Campaign

In 2021, the Department of Education and Training of the Victorian Government wanted to build engagement with parents from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds via social media advertising. They approached us to translate their campaign tagline and add logos to the social media tiles in six different languages.

The Work

To help inform more parents about the Premiers’ Reading Challenge in Victoria, our team translated social media tiles into Vietnamese, Chinese simplified, Chinese traditional, Arabic, Punjabi and Hindi.

Social Media Tiles

As always, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Polaron. The team worked with me to ensure that the translation of idioms was accurate, and our informal reviewers confirmed that the translations were perfect. Thanks so much for your fantastic service!
