A Day in the Life of… Older Multicultural Australians

January 24 @ 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm

We are ageing.

1 in 6 Australians are aged 65 and over and nearly 1 in 5 Australians speak a language other than English at home. The proportion of Australians who specifically don’t speak English well is also significantly higher in those over the age of 60.

So how do we appropriately communicate with these older Australians from diverse backgrounds when there isn’t one uniform language that can bridge this gap?

Join our upcoming webinar, A Day in the Life of… Older Multicultural Australians, to gain valuable insights into the ways we can better communicate with the older generation in today’s digital age. During this live and interactive webinar, moderated by the Founder and Director of Polaron Language Services, Eva Hussain, you will also learn about the challenges of connecting with an ageing population as well as techniques to improve communication.

You will hear from Manager of The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing, Nikolaus Rittinghausen, the Production Manager at Icon Agency, Elliot Clifford, as well as Polaron’s very own project team leader, Daniela Ruiz.

We will cover:

  • The significance of communicating your messages to an ageing population
  • Challenges of connecting with older generations
  • Techniques to effectively engage with older multicultural Australians
  • Q&A

Registering to this webinar oped you in for marketing material from Polaron
