Polaron Live Q&A: Tracking your Polish roots through Eastern European archives

About this event

Researching your Polish origins and finding your ancestors can be a life-changing experience. When it comes to former Polish territories, this can be very challenging. Our researchers sift through Ukrainian, Belarussian, Lithuanian and Polish archives, looking for vital, residential and other records, and consult national and state archives. Some of the documents that we find are far from complete, but they help us in our detective work: pinpointing origins of your ancestors and documenting their Polish heritage.

In this live event, our Eastern European research expert, Aleksandra Grzybowicz, will explain how sourcing archival documents and vital records from Poland’s former territories can help you track your Polish roots to claim your Polish citizenship.
