Effective engagement of multicultural audiences in the health sector: Making multilingual COVID-19 resources more accessible

About this event

In the last few months, effective communication in the health and wellbeing sector in times of COVID-19 has been top of mind for service providers and governments more than ever. But the challenges are certainly not new and affect individuals, their families, as well as workers in the health industry.

In this 45-minute webinar, you will hear from Anni Tillack-Benton, marketing specialist of the Centre for Culture, Ethnicity & Health (CEH). During this session, Anni will show us how to find resources in health and COVID-19 using the Health Translations Directory, a centralised repository of accurate translated information in over 100 languages.

Anni is part of a small team that manages the Health Translations Directory on behalf of the Victorian government since 2014. Over the last six years, she has been involved in marketing and online engagement projects that focus on the areas of cultural competence and health literacy.

You will also hear from language experts at Polaron, who will share their strategies and case studies on how to overcome communication and language barriers within the health industry. Be sure to join the conversation here!
