Effective engagement of multicultural audiences in the aged care sector: Impactful messaging in times of COVID-19

About this event

In the last few months, effective communication in the aged care sector has been top of mind for service providers and governments more than ever. But the challenges are certainly not new and affect residents, their carers and families, as well as workers in the aged care industry.

In this free 45-minute webinar, you will hear from Ljubica Petrov, Director of Inclusive Services Australia. Ljubica’s experience in the sector spans many years, including her role as a Manager of the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing and involvement in the Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) initiative. She is an advocate of inclusive services in aged care, dedicated to ensuring that special needs of older people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds are identified and met. Ljubica is a member of the Department of Health Aged Care Sector Committee Diversity Sub-Group.

You will also hear from language experts at Polaron, who will share their strategies and case studies on how to overcome communication and language barriers within aged care. Be sure to join the conversation here!
